How to import Hitman 1 and 2 levels into Hitman 3

Hitman 3 closes out the World of Assassination trilogy in clean, ruthless style. And, like with previous releases, fans can import Hitman 1 and 2 levels into the latest game. You’ll need to have purchased the previous games or Access Passes to do so, but the system is otherwise quite simple. Here’s everything you need to know in order to play old Hitman locations in Hitman 3.

Hitman 3 - How to import old Hitman 1 and 2 levels

To import Hitman 1 and 2 levels into Hitman 3, you either need to own the previous games or purchase their Access Passes. Assuming you have access to them, you can import old levels into Hitman 3 by downloading level packs from the in-game store.

In case you hadn’t heard, each level from the previous two Hitman games is available as downloadable content. This gives players access to a frankly huge number of locations. However, in order to play those past levels, you need to own them. Thankfully, PlayStation and Xbox players who bought the previous games will have immediate access. Simply jump into the in-game store to find, download, and import past levels.

If you don’t own the previous games, or if you’re playing the cloud version on Switch, you need to purchase Access Passes. Each of these sets will unlock locations from previous games that can then be played in the newest one. To find these, load up Hitman 3 and search through the in-game store.

This system may be a bit confusing for those who are new to the modern Hitman series. Luckily, it’s not too complicated. The bottom line is that if you’ve previously purchased either Hitman (2016) or Hitman 2, you’ll be able to play those locations in the third installment. The only real question is how to access them, especially considering the PC version’s Epic Games Store exclusivity.

Can you download past Hitman levels on Epic Games Store?

Can you download past Hitman levels on Epic Games Store?

Here’s the main problem for PC players. IO Interactive released Hitman 3 as a timed exclusive on the Epic Games Store. However, Hitman 2 is currently unavailable on the Epic Games Store. For now, the only way to play Hitman 2 levels is to buy one of the three Hitman 2 Access Passes. This has rubbed some players the wrong way, as they’re unable to play levels they’ve already purchased for PC over on Steam.

Don’t worry, though: IO Interactive is currently working on a way to make sure any players who own previous games or Access Passes will be able to use them in the EGS version. Chances are good the unlocked content will be tied to your IO account. Once IOI works out the details, you’ll only need to jump into the in-game store to download the locations you desire.

There’s more good news, too: Any players who downloaded the first Hitman (2016) for free on the Epic Games Store will have access to all those old levels within Hitman 3.

To import Hitman 1 and 2 levels into Hitman 3, simply visit the in-game store. If you own the previous games, you’ll be able to download and install each location for free. If not, you only need to purchase Access Passes in order to download all the old levels.
