Special tiles can be matched together (so long as they're the same element), creating some rather nasty combos.


The power you've built up to activate your runes remains from fight to fight, so if you don't need to use one you're better off waiting.


You only collect use energy for the rune you have equipped. Make sure you've got the right color ready when you start matching.
