Xbox Exclusive Titanfall Drops March 2014

Despite receiving heaps of positive press at E3 in June, Titanfall's spring 2014 release date only told us to expect the shooter out in the first six months of next year, but developers Respawn Entertainment have clarified that the game will land March 11th, 2014.

Titanfall focuses on fast multiplayer action and a two-front war between ground infantry and the oversized mechs players can call in and pilot in-game. Respawn Entertainment was formed from the exodus from Infinity Ward led by Jason West and Vince Zampella who settled their lawsuit against former company Activision earlier this year. West left the new studio earlier this year.

Electronic Arts also sent word of a collector's edition available at launch (pictured below). Be warned, this collector's edition will apparently set you back a whopping $250. That's for the 18" Titan diorama, full-size 190 page art book, and a poster schematic of a Titan.

We got to play Titanfall at this year's PAX Prime. Read our full hands-on preview here. Is Titanfall enough to buy an Xbox One? Titanfall is out on Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC next year.
