Online multiplayer is a new addition to Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 Remastered. There are several modes you can complete in with other players, but what if you just want to kick it with your friends? Are there THPS 1+2 Remastered online multiplayer private matches?
Going head-to-head against players from around the world is cool, but part of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater‘s (official site) allure is that it’s a pretty chill game. Sometimes you just want to have a private match between friends. Unfortunately, this isn’t possible.
You can form a multiplayer party in THPS 1+2 Remastered, either at the game’s main menu or while in an online game, but you can’t start a private match. You’ll join any multiplayer match alongside your party, but any empty slots will be filled by matchmaking. Additionally, unless you set your party to invite-only, anyone on your friends list can join with you.
Does THPS 1+2 Remastered have free skate in online multiplayer?
Freeskate is a great way to kick back, listen to some tunes, and chill. With how nostalgic this game is for many, you’d think that online freeskate would be a possibility in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2.
Unfortunately, you can’t freeskate in the online multiplayer in this game. The only online modes are:
- Jams: Here, added competition will put a little more spice in your skater experience. Hone those skills you’ve learned under pressure.
- Competitive: Competitive mode will put you against advanced players as well as challenging and demanding game modes. It’s skate or die. This is where the Pros live!
It’s a possibility that freeskate will be added to THPS 1+2 multiplayer at a later date. However, for now, you can only access that mode when playing local co-op.
