Every game shown at the PC Gaming Show 2020

Today’s PC Gaming Show brought a slew of trailers and info. Most of the material shown was for games that have been announced in the past, but we saw a few new surprises here and there. We’ll be hitting the highlights of the event below so you can see what you missed.

Persona 4 Golden gets a surprise PC release

Perhaps the biggest highlight of the PC Gaming Show was the announcement that Persona 4 Golden is out on PC today. This marks the first time the iconic RPG series has released on PC, and it features some upgrades to match its new platform. You can see more about our experience with P4G in the news post announcing its release.

Torchlight III hits Stream Early Access

It was announced that Torchlight III would be hitting Steam Early Access today, and you can purchase and play it right now for $29.99. There are reports that the servers are having issues under the heavy first-day load, though. So, if you plan on picking the game up, expect to have some difficulties connecting until things level out.

First-Person exploration and combat coming to Elite Dangerous

Frontier Developments continues to expand Elite Dangerous with the upcoming Odyssey expansion. Odyssey will allow players to land on planets, where they’ll be able to explore and fight on foot in first-person. The teaser trailer only gives us a hint of what will be possible, but it looks like Elite will get even more depth when this DLC launches next year.

Icarus, the next game from the creator of DayZ, announced

The creator of DayZ, Dean Hall, announced his latest project, Icarus. Icarus is a survival game that is designed to be played in bursts. Instead of spending hours at a time, gathering resources players will be based on a space station, which will serve as their hub. To gather resources, you’ll have to drop to the surface in increments as short as 20 minutes. This should allow you to get that same rush of survival gameplay without having to commit to playing hours at a time.

Mafia remake trailer looks really good

The Mafia remake got a new trailer today, and it’s looking great. Mafia is one of those games that just didn’t age well, and the remake looks like it’ll give us a reason to return to the city of Lost Heaven finally. Luckily we won’t have long to wait as the game release on August 28.

Everspace 2 is getting a closed alpha

Everspace 2 looks to push beyond the original, and if you want to play it, you can enter the closed alpha starting June 15. All you have to do to enter the closed alpha is email info@rockfishgames.com, easy!

You can shape the future of Humankind

Sega announced that Humankind will be available for limited-access under OpenDev soon. This will let select players check out some of the game and give feedback, which the devs will use to fine-tune it. You can help with the creation of Humankind by checking out details on how to sign up for OpenDev here.
