PS4 exclusive Nioh 2 is pretty great, as you already know if you’ve read our review, so it’s no wonder that people want more. Thankfully, exactly that is on the way in the form of three all-new expansions to the Souls-like samurai game. When can you expect to get your hands on them, though? When is the Nioh 2 DLC release date?
Nioh 2 is scheduled to receive three DLC packs that expand upon the game’s story. The first of these expansions, titled Tengu’s Disciple, is scheduled to release later this summer on July 30. The Nioh 2 Tengu’s Disciple DLC will have players discover a mysterious whistle called the Sohayamaru; its radiance reveals shadow Yokai that must be defeated in order to restore peace to the land of Yashima.
While we know that the Tengu’s Disciple release date, no exact day has been given for either of the remaining Nioh 2 story expansions. However, the team did reveal the title and release window for the second expansion and just the title for the third one.
The Darkness in the Capital release date was also revealed. It came out on on October 15.
The Nioh 2 DLC 3 release date is December 17. This final expansion is called The First Samurai. All of these expansions will be in the PC and PS5 release as well as the PS4 re-release with all of the content.
The Nioh 2 Season Pass is already available for $20. Presumably, all of the game’s story expansions will also be available to purchase individually upon their release. According to the PSN Store listing, each DLC will offer “hours of brand-new missions and side-quests, along with new content including deadly weapons to wield, combat abilities to unleash and characters to interact with.”
