There are 11 different Agents available in Valorant, but you only have access to five from the start. In order to unlock all of the remaining Agents, you’ll have to put in some work. Thankfully, the process is very simple. Some are given away after making enough progress, while the final three require completing Agent Contracts. Here’s how to unlock all Agents in Valorant.
Valorant | How to unlock all Agents
To unlock all Agents in Valorant, you need to play through matches and complete Agent Contracts. Five Agents are given at the start, and two more are unlocked when you reach Level 5 and Level 10. The remaining three must be earned by completing their specific Contracts.

Everyone who loads into Valorant will be granted access to the first five Agents: Brimstone, Jett, Phoenix, Sage, and Sova. At Level 5, you’ll be able to choose which Agent you want to unlock next. The same applies for Level 10. While these are essentially unlocked for free, you will need to put in the time to play matches and earn XP in order to level up.
Once seven Agents have been unlocked, the remaining three must be earned through Contracts. Fortunately, the Contracts can be completed simply by playing matches and earning more experience. However, you will need to activate individual Contracts for each remaining Agent. To do this, head to the Collection menu and click on Agents. Find the Agent you want to unlock, then click the Activate button at the bottom of the screen.
There’s just one catch here: In order to complete Agent Contracts, you have to complete matches using that specific Agent. You won’t be able to unlock Viper by playing with Phoenix, for instance. With that in mind, if you already know which Agents you’ll be best with, it would be wise to use your free unlocks on the more difficult Agents.
You’ll eventually unlock all Agents in Valorant given enough time. The first two are unlocked simply by reaching higher levels, while the final three require completing Agent Contracts. Any way you cut it, you’ll have to put in the work. Still, it shouldn’t take long for dedicated players to earn access to all ten.
