If you want to stand a good chance of emerging victorious in one of CoD: Warzone battle royale’s 150-player online matches, then you need to go in equipped with a plan. One of the most popular strategies is to utilize custom loadouts and in-game Loadout Drops to secure specific perks — namely, Overkill in the early game and Ghost towards the end. That poses an overriding question, though: Can you equip Overkill and Ghost at the same time in Call of Duty: Warzone?
In this guide, we’ll let you know whether the Ghost and Overkill perks can be equipped at once in order to make you the ultimate Modern Warfare Warzone battle royale player.
Can you equip Overkill and Ghost at the same time in Call of Duty: Warzone?
If you’ve read our best perks and best loadout guides, then you’ll already know that both Ghost and Overkill can be powerful tools in your Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019) battle royale arsenal. Since both occupy the Perk 2 slot, however, it’s unfortunately not possible to equip them at the exact same time. That doesn’t mean you can’t use them both to their best ends during the same match, though.
ALSO: Can you drop weapons in Call of Duty: Warzone?
First, assuming that you haven’t already, you’ll want to create a custom loadout featuring the Overkill perk and your two favorite primary weapons fully kitted out with attachments. You’ll then want to create a second custom loadout boasting the Ghost perk and your preferred loadout elements elsewhere.
How to create a custom loadout in Call of Duty: Warzone
- Load up Call of Duty: Warzone
- From the main menu, switch to the “Weapons” tab
- Select “Edit Loadout”
- Select any “Custom Loadout” slot you wish to edit
Once you’re in-game, try to locate a Loadout Drop as quickly as possible. Failing that, aim to earn Cash and purchase one from a Buy Station for $6,000. You’ll want to equip the custom loadout featuring Overkill ASAP, thus ensuring you’re equipped with your two favorite primary weapons during the busiest period of the match.
This advantage should help to carry you close to the end of the match, at which stage you should seek to locate/purchase another Loadout Drop in order to switch to your custom loadout featuring the Ghost perk. Ghost makes you undetectable to UAVs, Radar Drones, and Heartbeat Sensors; that’s a massive boon when you’re confined to the small end-game circles/rings and enemies are likely to use these tools in an effort to get the drop on you.
