I Don’t Understand What This Guy’s Saying, But Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag Looks Gorgeous

Ubisoft sent over a new video of Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag and while we've seen the next-gen power behind Watch Dogs and ACIV in action, Associate Producer Sylvain Trottier does a good job of explaining every nook and cranny of technology at play in-game.

One thing I was really impressed with when I played Black Flag on PS4 was the ocean and how dynamic every crushing wave was as Edward Kenway and I sailed around the Caribbean, but there's a lot more going on in ACIV's engine than that. Check out the rain particles and how they play on the foliage in Edward's jungle setting. Check out the numerous layers of shaders and lighting that give low-depth ocean scenes that clear-water tropical look.

While Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag launches on PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii U October 29th in North America, you'll be forgiven for holding out and picking up a copy for your next-gen console. Don't forget that ACIV will be sitting on store shelves right next to PlayStation 4 on November 15th and Xbox One on November 22nd.
