Microsoft Purchases “Xbone” Domain

Despite the fact that Microsoft mouthpiece Major Nelson has been outspoken about his disdain for the disrespectful nickname, the Big M has gone ahead and purchased Xbone.com. I guess the company just can't afford to miss out on the potential site traffic.

Do you think Microsoft is being a bit hypocritical in lieu of Larry Hyrb's comments about the name? Should the company just say "the heck with it" and embrace the moniker? I must admit, I think "Xbone" is quite idiotic, but if it sticks, there's not a whole lot you can really do, right?
