Fortnite Team Rumble changes get players hyped for the future

Fortnite Team Rumble changes have been announced by Epic Games and fans on Reddit are almost universally praising them.

The changes to the Team Rumble game mode were announced very simply in a /r/FortniteBR submission by /u/EpicDustyDevo, an employee of Epic Games. The adjustments being made to the game mode solve several problems that players have had, but they also run the risk of introducing new ones.

What are the Fortnite Team Rumble changes?

  • All weapons blue or better
  • Bandages removed
  • Glider redeployment now a free ability (doesn’t take a slot)
  • 150/150/150 mats granted at match start
  • Skill-based matchmaking turned off
  • Increased elim goal to 125

It sounds like a pretty good idea across the board, but one potential problem did arise.

“These are some great changes ngl, but if there’s a challenge where we need to use common or uncommon weapons, we may be stuck to do them in public matches,” stated a Reddit comment from /u/_ChickenFriedRice_.

Epic Games is on the ball, though, and it seems like they have a plan in place if this becomes a problem.

“We will keep an eye on it,” the dev who announced the changes said in a reply. “If this ends up being a problem for a lot of players, we could bring back lower-rarity weapons but at a lower spawn %.”
