Update: Epic Games has provided the following statement regarding the Fortnite Annual Pass:
We’ve seen discussions around a 2020 Annual Pass as a result of data mining the v11.30 build. Occasionally prototype features make it into our build that end up not being released. While the 2020 Annual Pass was considered, we have no plans to release it…unlike the Bao Bros.
As is customary, with the release of a new Fortnite patch comes the accompanying barrage of data-mined leaks from the usual suspects. This time around, alongside juicy new cosmetics and game changes, the patch also offered a glimpse at the Fortnite Annual Pass 2020 version. The Annual Pass looks to offer additional value to those that already buy into the existing Battle Pass system, helping to further rejuvenate Epic Games’ massively popular battle royale game after the launch of Chapter 2 earlier this year.
What is the 2020 Fortnite Annual Pass?
Fortnite‘s v11.30 update introduced the first mention of an Annual Pass in the game files, alongside the following description:
Purchase the 2020 Annual Pass and receive all upcoming 2020 Fortnite Battle Royale: Battle Bundles and 7 Annual Pass exclusive cosmetics. Battle Bundles unlock 25% of content in each Battle Pass instantly upon release.

It looks as though by purchasing an Annual Pass, players will gain access to all of the year’s Battle Pass content in one transaction, while also benefitting from fast-track Battle Bundles that mean each Battle Pass is 25% complete from the start. Polishing them off will require less of a time commitment and, ultimately, that’ll help to ensure you get the most out of every single Battle Pass in 2020.
On top of that, there’ll also be seven cosmetic items that aren’t available elsewhere. That makes the Annual Pass an enticing offer, but, with pricing currently unknown, whether players will bite remains to be seen.
What exclusive cosmetics are in the Fortnite Annual Pass 2020?

Fortnite Annual Pass 2020 Astra Outfit
“A constellation of skill and talent,” is how this skin is described in-game. It looks to be a cool rendition of the starry night sky in the form of a jumpsuit.
Fortnite Annual Pass 2020 Loons Back Bling
Incorporating a rainbow and everybody’s favorite llama-shaped pinata, this “fashionably floaty” Back Bling is sure to be a favorite.
Fortnite Annual Pass 2020 Shining Star Back Bling
If you’re all about coordination, combining the Astra Outfit and the Shooting Star Back Bling looks to be a match made in heaven. Its description reads “follow the way.”
