What level does Corvisquire evolve in Pokemon Sword and Shield?

Pokemon Sword and Shield introduced many new Pokemon to the long-running franchise, but few of them are as outright cool as Corviknight. A cross between a raven and a knight, Corviknight is a dark, intimidating presence on the battlefield, bringing Steel- and Flying-type moves to every fight. Players can catch Corviknight’s first stage, Rookidee, early on in Sword and Shield, but training one until it evolves into a Corvisquire and then a Corviknight can take quite a long time. So, what level does Corvisquire evolve in Pokemon Sword and Shield? Read on to find out.

How to evolve Corvisquire into Corviknight in Pokemon Sword and Shield

What level does Corvisquire evolve Pokemon

Being one of the first new Pokemon revealed for Sword and Shield, Corviknight was bound to draw in love from fans. It’s imposing silhouette and great Steel/Flying typing make it one of Sword and Shield’s coolest additions, and the fact that it has a Gigantamax form shows Game Freak knew how potentially popular it could be. Corviknight can be found flying around in the open in the Wild Area, but their high levels mean players won’t be able to catch one until late in the game. The best way to get one, then, is to first catch a Rookidee. These can easily be found in the overworld on Route 1 and 2 or in tall grass encounters on Route 3. Rookidee will quickly evolve into a Corisquire at level 18, but it will take some grinding for it to reach its final stage. Corvisquire evolves into Corviknight at level 38, meaning you’ll have to go 20 levels before you see your bird companion gain the Steel typing.

If you’re looking to level up your Corvisquire fast, a great way to earn rapid experience is defeating Pokemon in Sword and Shield’s Max Raid Battles. Doing so will often get you experience-granting Candy items, which you can use on Corvisquire to boost its EXP. Speaking of Max Raids, if you want a Gigantamax-capable Corviknight, you’ll have to do some more grinding. Not just any Corviknight can Gigantamax, so you’ll have to get lucky and encounter one in a Max Raid Battle. Once you do, defeat and catch it to get yourself a Gigantamax Corviknight.
