The Elder Scrolls Online 5.2.9 Update Patch Notes

The new update comes in the shape of a 187 MB patch that both PC and Mac players can download. It’s a fairly small update nowadays, when compared to the likes of games such as Modern Warfare, which recently released a patch weighing over 3 GB.

Let’s start by taking a look at the fixes coming to the base game. There was an issue where the Battleground Runner Weapon Styles wouldn’t appear in the Collections menu, but it is now fixed. The patch also aims to correct a memory management issue that mostly happened when players were roaming around highly populated city areas, causing the game to crash. Mac players occasionally had to endure a bug where the game would crash when launching for the first time right after an update.

Suramin the Weaponsmith is making a comeback, returning to sell his goods in Belkarth. If you used to be a regular player, then you’re surely happy to see him back in business.

The Dragonhold DLC and the Murkmire DLC received a single fix each. The former had a quest where you couldn’t push puzzle cubes as expected, while in the latter you earned The River of Rebirth achievement… except that you didn’t, because it failed to properly register.

There are a few additional fixes to Alliance War and the Champion System that you can read below, but as we’ve mentioned above, this is a small update designed to improve your experience in The Elder Scrolls MMO.
