How to unlock white Ghoul Trooper skin in Fortnite Chapter 2

With the arrival of the Fortnite Chapter 2 v11.01 patch came a whole host of new cosmetic items for Epic Games’ battle royale title. Many of these are themed around Halloween, owing to the current spooky season we find ourselves in, and the white Ghoul Trooper Fortnite skin is no exception. Here’s how you can unlock it for use in the game and also what’s new with the revised skin.

The game’s latest major update went live today (Tuesday, October 22, 2019) and lots of new content is shortly set to be made available, as we know courtesy of a few diligent data miners. You might already have seen a variation on the Ghoul Trooper in the past, but now there are new versions in town.

Discovered by @HYPEX on Twitter, as you can see below, a pair of spooky new ghoul styles will be made available in update 11.01. In the foreground we can see a cool take on the skin where it appears as though the player’s flesh is peeling away to reveal exposed tissue and even teeth below in the case of the mouth. Behind that character, we see a lighter green variation seemingly complete with running eye makeup and a white hairdo, perhaps from shock with all the scary goings-on currently unfolding in Fortnite.

Unfortunately, at this early stage, how to unlock these new skins isn’t yet known. They’re presumably Halloween items, so it isn’t out of the question that they might be unlockable in-game through a seasonal event challenge, but most likely they’ll be premium purchases available through the Item Shop. Keep checking back often and save your V-Bucks if you’re looking to pick the skins up and give your Fortnite friends a fright this Halloween.
