We’re in the midst of Fortnite Chapter 2 these days, and it’s safe to say that plenty of details in the game have changed following its introduction. One of the more notable differences, for example, is the new Fortnite Max Rank. How you level up in Fortnite appears to be a little different in Chapter 2, including a brand new Chapter 2 Max Rank. In this guide, we’ll let you know the answer to “what is the Fortnite Chapter 2 highest level?” along with going into a little detail on how much XP it takes to level up through the tiers.
Fortnite Chapter 2 Max Rank | What is the highest level?
As stated above, Levels appear to be a little different in Fortnite these days following the release of Chapter 2. As such, there is a new Max Rank that you can reach in Fortnite. According to reliable Fortnite leaker/data miner Lucas7yoshi, the Fortnite Chapter 2 Max Rank could well be Level 1000. You can reach Level 1000 in Fortnite during Season 11, anyway.

That’s right, you can theoretically reach Level 1000 in Fortnite during its Season 11 run. Reaching this lofty Level, however, will obviously take more than some doing. Thankfully, Lucas7yoshi is also on hand to let us know how much XP you’ll need to earn in order to level up during Season 11. It’s a little complicated, bear with us.

Each level up to Level 8 will require you to earn 10,000 XP, added onto the previous Level-up requirements from the level before. Adding up to 280,000 XP to reach Level 8 in total. Check out how much XP you’ll need to reach each level:
- Level 2: 10,000 XP
- Level 3: 20,000 XP
- Level 4: 30,000 XP
- Level 5: 40,000 XP
- Level 6: 50,000 XP
- Level 7: 60,000 XP
- Level 8: 70,000 XP
For any level after Level 8, up to Level 100, however, you will need to earn 80,000 XP each time in order to level up. Each level after Level 100, meanwhile, will need more each time, although we’re unsure how much XP you’ll need at this point. It’s safe to say that it will be a lot.
It would seem that each Weekly challenge completed should award you with 14,000 XP, so if you focus on completing challenges you should rise through the ranks somewhat quickly. There’s 154,000 XP on offer each week, anyway. Based on this, however, reaching Level 1000 would appear to be almost impossible. Perhaps you won’t be reaching that Fortnite Chapter 2 max rank after all.
