As stated above, the 1.43 update for Gran Turismo Sport has brought with it a few new features, including a small list of new cars. Fans of 1990s Japanese sports cars (who isn’t?) are in for a treat. Along with the new cars, several new events have been added to the GT League in Campaign Mode. There’s also a good number of general fixes and physics adjustments, too.

New Cars

The representation of classic Japanese sports cars of the 1980s and 1990s have been given a healthy boost in numbers thanks to the 1.43 update. The following cars have all been added to Gran Turismo Sport:

  • Honda S2000 ’99
  • Mitsubishi GTO Twin Turbo ’91
  • Nissan Silvia K’s Dia Selection (S13) ’90
  • Subaru Impreza Coupe WRX Type R STi Version VI ’99
  • Toyota Corolla Levin 3-door 1600GT APEX (AE86) ’83

Other New Features

Along with the five new cars, a few more new features have been added to Gran Turismo Sport. This includes new Wet Conditions options for both the Red Bull Ring and the Red Bull Ring Short Track. Seven new rounds have been added as events in the GT League portion of the Campaign Mode as well. You’ll find new rounds in the J-Sports Meeting, the Beetle & Samba Bus Fest, the All Japan GT Car Championships, and the Porsche Cup.

Physics Simulation Model

  • The deceleration torque that occurs when taking your foot off the accelerator has been changed for the following hybrid cars:
    • McLaren P1 GTR ’16
    • McLaren Ultimate Vision Gran Turismo
    • McLaren Ultimate Vision Gran Turismo (Gr.1)
    • Peugeot L500R Hybrid Vision Gran Turismo, 2017
    • Toyota TS050 – Hybrid (Toyota Gazoo Racing) ’16

Other Improvements and Adjustments

  • Fixed an issue in “Sport” mode and Lobby wherein the amount of time lost during a pit stop was longer than that of an offline race
  • Various other issues have been addressed
