As many are likely aware, Minecraft is one of the biggest games around and has been for a long time. With one of the largest player bases of any game, there are always a handful of people playing at any given time. However, after some connectivity issues today with Minecraft Realms, people are beginning to wonder, is Minecraft Realms down? It’s never fun when your favorite game isn’t working properly, here’s how to check the Minecraft server status.
Is Minecraft Realms down?
Minecraft Realms allows players to pay a subscription fee in order to host their own private Minecraft server. This prevents players from having to deal with online trolls and the other annoyances that come with a shared world. With the private server, players can play with friends or by themselves, the choice is theirs. However, today, players are reporting ton’s of issues with the servers, leading players to wonder, is Minecraft Realms down?

According to outage reports, it seems that Minecraft Realms has had a recent spike in downage reports, mostly surrounding online play and log in issues. Further, there are a couple of different reports in the Minecraft Realms subreddit in which players are reporting downage issues.
At the time of writing, there doesn’t seem to be any statement by Microsoft or Mojang surrounding the issues. However, it seems highly unlikely that they aren’t aware, since there have been downage reports for a few hours now. The best way to check the Minecraft Server Status is to keep your eye on the official Minecraft Twitter page and the Mojang Support page. When the developers have a statement to share, this is likely the place that they will share it.
In the meantime, we are afraid that there isn’t much that can be done. You’ll simply have to play a different game for now and check back in later.
