The Pokémon Company has just announced that a special Pop-Up Pokémon Center is scheduled to open in London this October. You will be able to visit this special store and purchase some of your favorite Pokémon-branded products for a limited time, including some exclusive designs that you won’t be able to find in any other store.
The Pop-Up Pokémon Center will be located in the Westfield London shopping mall, opening from October 18 to November 15, 2019 (dates may be subject to change). This store was designed to celebrate the upcoming launch of Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield exclusively on Nintendo Switch, with a worldwide release planned for November 15, 2019. It’s easy to see that the store will feature a wide range of toys, clothing and assorted merchandise to promote the upcoming games.

The choice of London for the new Pop-Up Pokémon Center wasn’t random; it serves as a tribute to the United Kingdom’s crucial role in inspiring the look and feel of the new and expansive Galar region that players will be able to explore. While Pokémon Go remains popular, many players are eagerly waiting the new Nintendo Switch games and this is a brilliant marketing stunt, especially exciting for London inhabitants. If it turns out to be a huge success, it’s highly likely that we get to see more Pokémon stores opening in other countries.
The official announcement came with a mock-up image of the Pop-Up Pokémon Center, giving us a good idea on what to expect. Everyone’s favorite Pokémon, Pikachu, features prominently, instantly capturing the attention of Pokémon fans and onlookers.
