Wolfenstein Youngblood Audio Bug | Sound cutting out
Before we dive into our solution for the Wolfenstein Youngblood audio bug, let’s have a look at why it’s happening. Since the game launched on PC, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One last Friday, threads across the internet have popped up with players stating that the sound is cutting out for them at random points during the game.

Whether it’s on PS4, Xbox One, or Steam, the audio issue stems primarily from players using their flashlight. This isn’t the only time that it occurs, but it seems to be the main cause that is resulting in your audio bugging out.
There hasn’t been any word on whether this bug is affecting Nintendo Switch players but, if you’re here and you play on this platform, our fix below might also work for you.
How to Fix Wolfenstein Youngblood Audio Bug
Right, onto our fix for this problem. The first thing you can do is stop using your flashlight. You can access this using the D-pad on your controller, and it’s very handy for dark areas of the game. If your sound is glitching out when the torch is being used, however, don’t use it. You will have to fumble about in the dark, sure, but your audio won’t bug out.
Besides that, there aren’t any other solutions. The audio bug is a known issue though, according to Bethesda community manager MortalEmperor. The team is looking into a fix, and when it’s ready, they’ll patch it through. Until then, you’ll have to hang tight if our flashlight fix above doesn’t work.
