The Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled 1.06 update patch notes are now available to read, with the patch itself being rolled out across PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch systems. If the download doesn’t automatically update while your console is in sleep mode, or upon booting, then simply use the “Check for Update” function when highlighting the game. This will kickstart the new Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled update into action, allowing you to fully enjoy the latest version of the game, complete with a number of important bug fixes.
Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled 1.06 Update Patch Notes
While previous Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled updates have changed the game significantly, with a number of substantial content drops, as well as bug fixes, the 1.06 update only features the latter.
Weighing in at 2.137 GB (on PS4), you might expect this update to implement more than just bug fixes, but that is indeed what the patch notes describe:
Version 1.06 – Bug Fixes
Of course, it’s possible for the developer to include changes that aren’t detailed in the official patch notes, and “bug fixes” hardly offers specific details on what exactly the 1.06 has fixed.
According to user “the_bean_supreme” on Reddit, the patch has fixed the “global save corruption glitch,” which has been keeping players away from the Time Trials where progress can be lost. (Note: Please await official confirmation before risking your own save data here!)
Reddit user “jtnoble” claims that the new 1.06 update also fixes the Thunder Struck skip, so players will no longer be able to use that unintentional shortcut.
User “Spaceparty66” believes that the new patch has also made the Sewer Speedway shortcut easier to access, with the jump window having been seemingly increased. “TheNathanNS” backs this up, saying it’s “definitely been tweaked to be easier.”
Here’s hoping developer Beenox shares a more detailed list of patch notes soon, so that the community can know exactly what has been changed.
