As stated above, you can now download the Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled 1.02 update on whatever platform you own the game on. We did state, too, that it is a small update. This is true, as, on PS4, it should only take around 300 MB of space to install, for example. It appears, then, that this update is something of a hotfix, rolled out to quickly fix a smattering of small bugs and whatnot.

The patch notes themselves back this up. There is one Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled 1.02 update patch note. This is the fabled patch note:

  • Bugs Fixes

That’s it. There’s nothing more to the Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled version 1.02 update.

Hopefully, though, it has fixed the game’s opening day online issues. People have noted that the online is encountering issues when playing, and Beenox took to Twitter to explain that “an immediate fix is in the works to address the online multiplayer experience.” This could be that the servers weren’t ready to take on as many people playing online from day one as there is trying to play the game. Alternatively, however, the online issues could be down to a bug. It could well be that the Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled 1.02 update is the fix that Beenox promised. Time to go online and check things out.

We’ll update the page with more info regarding the 1.02 update as and when it becomes available.
