The Cyberpunk 2077 E3 2019 demo certainly attracted a lot of attention at this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo. CD Projekt Red’s upcoming cyberpunk role-playing game is hotly-anticipated, but many are wondering if the game’s stunning visuals will look as good on console as they would on a high-end PC. One particular writer had thought that this year’s demo was running on a PS4 Pro, but it turns out that it was on a different machine entirely.
An article from Forbes spent some time talking about the writer’s experience with the Cyberpunk 2077 E3 2019 demo, gushing about how awesome it is. He was particularly enamored by the level of immersion and visual fidelity that the game was capable of. He also claimed (much to his surprise) that the E3 2019 demo was running on a PS4 Pro rather than a PC or another console, but it turns out that this wasn’t the case.

This is certainly an interesting claim considering how good the game looked at E3. Was the Cyberpunk 2077 E3 2019 demo running on a PS4 Pro? No, it turns out.

While CD Projekt Red has surely worked hard to ensure that Cyberpunk 2077 looks as good as it possibly can on consoles, it’s doubtful that they’ll be able to match the visual fidelity of a high-end PC. Obviously, they’re going to be breaking out the big guns for one of the world’s largest gaming conferences and that seems to be exactly what happened here.
