Three new THQ Nordic game reveals coming this week

Three new THQ Nordic game reveals coming this week

THQ Nordic, the current owner of game franchises such as Darksiders and Dead Island, will be revealing three new games this week. These THQ Nordic game reveals will be coming over the course of three days starting on June 5.

These three new games will be revealed via the company’s Facebook and Twitter pages. The first of these announcements will be made on June 5 at 10:00 AM ET. The subsequent reveals will take place on June 6 and 7 and will instead be at 2:00 PM ET. They will come a week before E3 2019, which is taking place from June 11 to 13 in Los Angeles.

THQ Nordic currently has 48 unannounced titles that are in development. This large number is due in part to the number of acquisitions that the company has made in recent years. These include companies such as Atari, Crytek, and THQ, which is the most notable and where its current name comes from.

The company’s acquisition of THQ gave it access to a number of big properties. One of these properties, Darksiders, is rumored to be the subject one of these announcements. THQ Nordic has made mention of a fourth Darksiders game before. The publisher stated it would do a fourth game if Darksiders 3 sold over 100,000 copies. In a previous article, we speculated that Darksiders 3 had already sold enough for this to happen.

Of course, other THQ Nordic franchises could also be the subject of these reveals. The same rumor that pointed to a new Darksiders game also points to a new Destroy All Humans game. While not mentioned by name, said list makes mention of a “galactically beloved franchise,” hinting at the alien invasion themed action-adventure franchise. Destroy All Humans was one of THQ’s more beloved series and bringing it back would probably please a number of fans since the last entry from 2008, Path of the Furon, was poorly received.
