My Time at Portia Tree Respawning Bug | Why don’t chopped down trees regrow?

My Time at Portia Tree Respawning Bug

As you might have imagined, the My Time at Portia tree respawning bug is preventing chopped down trees from regrowing. After you chop them down, a stump is left behind. After a few in-game days, however, the tree is supposed to grow back and allow you to chop it down again.

However, players are finding that they are running out of wood, as a resource, as their trees aren’t growing back. A thread that popped up on the game’s Reddit page was inundated with replies from frustrated players who couldn’t work out what the problem was. Even worse, some users found that trees did grow back but we’re invisible. As such, they couldn’t work out when a tree had been felled or not.

My Time at Portia Tree Respawning Bug | How to fix

My Time at Portia Tree Respawning Bug

Thankfully, there’s a fix for the My Time at Portia tree respawning bug. It’s a bit of a nit-picky one but, if you can’t solve this problem any other way, it’s the best way to sort it out.

Basically, you have to load up your save file from the “Load game” section of the start menu. You can then pick your last save, and load it up this way. This is supposed to fix the issue and, judging by replies in the above thread, it does work.

If this doesn’t, you’ll need to restart your Nintendo Switch, PS4, or Xbox One system. Save your game, head back to the console main menu, and close it down. Wait 10 seconds, and then start it up again. Load up the game, and then your save, and see if this fixes the problem for you.
