Tell GR: Buy, Try, or Die? [April 2013]

Have you already finished BioShock Infinite? Again? And again?! And again? Well, the developers who have their titles releasing this month sure hopes that you have and that you're ready for another round of games. Luckily for your wallet, April is relatively lax compared to March, which is great for Injustice: Gods Among Us, Dead Island: Riptide, and Soul Sacrifice.

This week, the only two major releases are the TPS MMO Defiance by Trion Worlds, which is surprisingly going to be available for console too, as well as Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge. So whenever "Ninja Gaiden 4" comes around, you know there's going to be five versions of that too.

Two weeks after that comes a remake of SMT: Devil Summoner for 3DS, a Dishonored expansion featuring a new character, and Injustice: Gods Among US, which may just be the best game featuring the full DC Comics universe. (I choose those words because it's hard to beat Batman: Arkham City.) I must also mention the swansong for the Wii (yeah, that console), Pandora's Tower. It may be too late for anyone to care, but it's supposed to be a great JRPG for what it is.

Finally, In the last two weeks comes another episode in the Assassin's Creed III DLC, the sequel to Dead Island, an extension to Dragon's Dogma, and the release of Star Trek: The Video Game, which was surprisingly great when I played during GDC 2013. And of course Keiji Inafune's Soul Sacrifice for the struggling Vita. From Blake Peterson's preview of the title, it may just be the shot in the arm the handheld needs.
