Whether you’re playing Metro Exodus on PS4 Pro, Xbox One X, or PC, with an SSD or not, too, the Metro Exodus loading screens speed remains sluggish.

Read on to discover if there is a Metro Exodus load times fix. No matter what you think of the gameplay, you will want to try and reduce those Metro Exodus loading screens speed. Time to get back in the game with pace.

What’s wrong with the Metro Exodus Load Times?

Metro Exodus Load Times

Metro Exodus offers an abundance of atmospheric first-person shooter action, but its load times leave a lot to be desired. Loading screens have long been the scourge of the video game nation and it’s an issue that remains in the days of mandatory game installations and 4K resolutions. You’ll notice slow Metro Exodus loading screens whenever you re-enter into the game.

Whenever you load up a saved game file, for example, you will be forced to sit through a lengthy load screen. People have even claimed that it takes over two minutes to load on Xbox One X. Thankfully, loading back into Metro Exodus after dying doesn’t take too long. The lengthy load times appear to be mainly when loading into a saved game. Is there a fix?

Unfortunately, on consoles at least, there doesn’t appear to be a known fix for the slow loading times. It appears as though the normal tricks of moving the game onto an external drive, or an SSD doesn’t speed up the load screens.

On PC, however, you could always try reducing the graphical settings in an attempt to reduce load times. It likely won’t change much (if at all), but it potentially could.

Hopefully, 4A Games and Deep Silver release a patch that reduces Metro Exodus load times on all platforms. You should never have to wait over two minutes to load into a game save. At least the story recap each time helps to soothe the pain.
