Nintendo Extends Eternal Darkness Trademark

The Big N has yet again extended its rights to the Eternal Darkness trademark. This marks the fifth time an extension has been granted to Nintendo, and we still have yet to see a proper sequel to the cult-classic that launched on the GameCube over a decade ago.

Silicon Knights has had their hands full thanks to some legal trouble with Epic Games, so it's no surprise that we haven't seen a new entry from them, but considering the studio's underwhelming performance as of late, I think a different dev team would be better suited at this point anyway.

Would you like to see a new Eternal Darkness title? Does the idea of unique tablet functionality have your interest piqued? Let us know in the comments below.
