Now You Can Do Your Presidential Duty To Save The World From Tyranny On Your Phone

Liberation Maiden puts players in control of young President Shoko Ozora, who uses her humanoid mech to free New Japan from tyranny. Do you need more? It's clear that this is another oddity from Suda 51, but now fans of the unique developer don't need to have a 3DS to play Liberation Maiden.

LEVEL-5 and Suda 51 teamed up to develop the game and bring it to iOS. Akihiro Hino said that their goal was to "redefine what a mobile game can do with the quality design, story and gameplay normally only available to console gamers."

I've played Liberation Maiden on 3DS and it's actually quite fun for train rides, in-between more involved, retail 3DS games, and of course on the can. Now it's available on iPhones, iPads, and iPod Touch devices everywhere. The graphics and animated cutscenes look great on the retina display, but I'm way more impressed with how smoothly the action runs on iOS.

Check out the trailer above and see for yourself if Liberation Maiden's odd premise and shooting action are worthy of $4.99 in the App Store.
