Fallout 76 Hardened Mass Location – Where to Find

Looking for Hardened Mass in Fallout 76? The key resource, which can be used to craft Pure Flux, is a tough cookie to find, let alone go and grab. That’s because, as you’ll soon find out, the Hardened Mass location differs from server to server and you’re heavily reliant on player interaction just to put the parameters in place to grab some. Even so, we’re here to help: here’s where to find Hardened Mass in Fallout 76.

Where is the Fallout 76 Hardened Mass Location?

Unlike most materials and weapons in Fallout 76, you can’t point players in a certain direction when it comes to Hardened Mass. Vendors don’t sell it, nor does it drop in a definite location. Instead, you’re going to have to find your way inside a nuclear strike zone. That means you’re at the whim of players (or yourself, if you have the Fallout 76 nuke codes this week) who want to drop the bomb in Appalachia.

Once a nuke has been fired in your server (keep hopping between servers if you’re having trouble finding one), go into a nuclear strike zone and, frankly, start killing every enemy you come across. That’s because every foe inside a nuclear strike radius has a chance to drop Hardened Mass. It’s not an exact science, but kill enough and you’ll stumble across Hardened Mass sooner rather than later.

Why Can’t I Find Fallout 76 Hardened Mass?

If you’re still struggling, one of two things may have happened: other players may have looted enemies before you (it’s possible), so you need to be quicker on the loot draw or, more than likely, you’re pressed “Scrap All” and turned your Hardened Mass into Ultracite. Obviously, that’s not ideal so, in future, be sure to dump everything in a stash and double check your inventory before mass scrapping everything. You never know what you’re getting rid of.
