How to Auto Sprint in Black Ops 4

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s most requested feature since its release is an auto sprint function. The game has been out for two months now, but developer Treyarch has been quiet on whether it would ever implement such a feature. So, with the latest update now live, have players’ requests finally been heard? Here’s whether they have been, and how to auto sprint in Black Ops 4.

What is the Auto Sprint Function in Black Ops 4?

Auto sprint in other games allows your playable character to run about the place without you needing to hold down a certain button or joystick all the time. It can usually be activated by double tapping a button or pressing the left thumbstick twice in the “up” position.

When Will Auto Sprint be Available in Black Ops 4?

Are you tired of being unable to tear around the map without this feature? Well be tired no more, as Treyarch have finally implemented the function in Black Ops 4. The December 18 update for the game brought a number of additional content, bug fixes, and more to the title on all platforms, and thankfully auto sprint was part of the patch. You can run around as freely and as often as you want.

How to Auto Sprint in Black Ops 4

To auto sprint in Black Ops 4, you’ll need to enable it first in your controller options menu. Head here from the game’s main menu and, under the “controls” sub-menu, ensure that you have auto sprint enabled.

When you enter a game in any mode, you can then double click on the left thumbstick to auto sprint. If you want your character to stop auto spriting, you simply need to pull back on the left joystick once to cancel the action. Hopefully this will help you win more matches and rank up faster in Black Ops 4 now.
