The 2014 Ubisoft titles Child of Light and Valiant Hearts: The Great War are set to release in a physical bundle on the Switch next year, according to a listing on Amazon.it.
Earlier this year, it was announced that both titles were coming to the Nintendo eShop, along with a physical copy of Child of Light. Now, it seems that Valiant Hearts has joined this edition, with a supposed release date of January 31, along with a preview of the box art for this physical bundle.
Child of Light is a widely-acclaimed RPG narrating the story of a princess, cast adrift from the real world and fighting to save her home from a devastating flood. With fantastical watercolor aesthetics drawn by hand, this title first hit the Switch on October 11, joining the growing roster of third-party games on the Switch.
Valiant Hearts: The Great War follows the story of five soldiers brought together by the titular warfare. This unique narrative brings the visceral experience of war to life; in our review, Daniel Bischoff remarked that “Valiant Hearts could very well be the most poignant World War I game ever made.”
While the exact details of the Amazon.it listing might prove to be placeholders, this at least confirms the existence of a physical bundle expected to come next year. Moreover, we can also expect more news on the Child of Light sequel next year, after hints in a tweet by Patrick Plourde, the Creative Director and VP at Ubisoft Montreal.
Sorry for the long silence. But we have this little thing up and running 🙂 #childoflight #switch pic.twitter.com/M6k1xoXX8F

With the words “Light 2” carefully placed in the top right of the Switch picture, it seems that Child of Light 2 is at least in development, with more news to come in 2019. Until then, you can expect the Child of Light and Valiant Hearts physical bundle to release early next year.
