What is the Pokemon Let’s Go Judge System

The Judge System in Pokemon Let’s Go allows trainers to more accurately gauge their Pokemon’s statistics. After unlocking it, you will be able to check out a simplified view of each Pokemon’s IVs. Essentially, by using the Judge System, you will be able to tell just how good your Pokemon’s stats are in each of the six fields (Attack, Defense, Special Attack, Special Defense, Speed, and HP).

How to Unlock the Pokemon Let’s Go Judge System

While checking out your Pokemon’s potential stats, even if the level they’re at sounds great, a question does linger. How do you unlock the Pokemon Let’s Go Judge System? Thankfully, unlocking the IV checker is quite simple. Follow these steps to unlock the Judge System:

  • Catch 30 unique Pokemon
  • Go to Route 11
  • Enter the building on the east of Route 11
  • Head upstairs and speak to one of Professor Oak’s assistants
  • He will update your Pokedex to contain the Judge System

How to Use the Pokemon Let’s Go Judge System

To use the Judge System in Pokemon Let’s Go, you only need to head into your Pokemon Box. Once in there, select any given Pokemon to open up their summary page. Now all you need to do is press the Y button, or shake the Joy-Con or Poke Ball Plus, and you will enter into the Judgement screen. Once inside, the game will show you that individual Pokemon’s potential stats in a graph, giving you an indicator if they are “Not So Good,” “OK,” “Good,” “Very Good,” “Best,” and “Amazing” stats, both overall, and for each individual stat. Thankfully, you can quickly and easily check each Pokemon’s IVs by scrolling through your Pokemon Box within the Judgement screen. Simply press left or right to scroll through each Pokemon in your Box.

Using the Judgement System to check the IVs of all your Pokemon is a sure-fire way of finding the perfect IVs in Pokemon Let’s Go. Remember, too, that you can use any Bottle Caps to raise the IVs of any Pokemon Level 100 after completing the game.
