Desperately trying to polish off the Hermes’s Homie trophy/achievement but have come unstuck with an Assassin’s Creed Odyssey regions bug? It’s not just you. Many players are reporting that their regions are stuck at 99.53%, leaving them with the unenviable task of scouring the Greek landscape in an attempt to defog all regions. So, what’s the issue here?
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Regions Bug Stuck at 99.53% – Can I Defog All Regions?
Thankfully, the reasoning behind you getting oh-so-close to polishing off one of the most maddening accomplishments in the game is unlikely to be down to a bug but, instead, a small corner of the map you haven’t set foot in. And I mean small. Which means, yes, you’re (probably) going to be fine defogging all regions, as long as you have these handful of easy-to-miss regions scoped out on your map.
- The two islands south-east of Nexos
- Valley of the Two Kings in Lakonia, East of Pass of the Warriors
- Nisyros (south of Kos)
- Kitharion Foothills in Megaris, directly north of the Occupied Forest of Tripodiskos.
Remember, to defog a region, you must step foot in it, no ifs, buts, or maybes. This is proving especially punishing for the volcanic island of Nisyros, which actually triggers two regions unlocking, but the second one is tucked away in a tiny, almost undiscoverable part of the island. Make sure you cover every blade of grass.
However, if you’re absolutely sure you’ve found every region or, worse still, seen your region counter reach 100% without an achievement or trophy popping, then you should contact Ubisoft Support on Twitter. Additionally, heading back to a manual save pre-100%, especially after the patches that have recently landed, should see you unlock the achievement/trophy, even if you do have to find a couple of regions for a second time.
