Call of Duty Black Ops 4 is out today on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The game features three game modes to get stuck into: Multiplayer, Zombies, and Blackout (Battle Royale). As usual, there are plenty of Multiplayer modes to try out. What are the Black Ops 4 Multiplayer modes? Read on to discover all Black Ops 4 Multiplayer modes.
Black Ops 4 Multiplayer Modes – How Many Multiplayer Modes are in Black Ops 4?
While the main focus of Black Ops 4 will undoubtedly be on its new battle royale mode, Blackout, it does feature your standard online multiplayer action. As usual, there are two sets of multiplayer modes to battle across in Black Ops 4. You have your standard “core” modes, and their hardcore counterparts (which increases damage taken, removes health regeneration, and generally makes things a lot more difficult). In total, there are 13 multiplayer modes in Black Ops 4. Eight of these modes are unique, however, which is one down from the nine unique multiplayer modes in Call of Duty WW2.
Black Ops 4 Multiplayer Modes – What are the Multiplayer Modes in Black Ops 4?
Suffice to say, it wouldn’t be a Call of Duty game without Team Deathmatch, Kill Confirmed, or Domination. Thankfully, all three of these classic modes are back. Below are all the “Core” Black Ops 4 Multiplayer modes:
- Control
- Domination
- Free for All
- Hardpoint
- Heist
- Kill Confirmed
- Search and Destroy
- Team Deathmatch
Also included are five “Hardcore” Multiplayer modes. These are as follows:
- Domination
- Free for All
- Kill Confirmed
- Search and Destroy
- Team Deathmatch
Some changes have been made to a few of the Multiplayer modes. Kill Confirmed and Team Deathmatch are now 6v6 as default. There’s more, too. Anybody can be and Specialist they want to be in both modes. It’s not limited to just the one person as it has been in the past.
While it may not seem like there are many modes, there is plenty to get on with here, including new modes. Control, for example, is new to the Call of Duty party. To get players in the groove with new modes, Treyarch has included a Featured tab for everything new, including alterations on existing modes such as Chaos Team Deathmatch. As WW2 did, perhaps more multiplayer modes will be added at a later date in Black Ops 4, too.
