Epic Games has released several cosmetic items from the new Fortnite Oktoberfest set today on September 28, 2018. It will only remain available for 48 hours, but players of the battle royale game can look forward to two brand new Fortnite skins. The Fortnite Oktoberfest set includes Heidi and Ludwig skins, an Axcordion pickaxe, Pretzel Protector back bling and more.
The Fortnite Oktoberfest set contains the following items:
- Heidi skin
- Ludwig skin
- Pretzel Protector back bling
- Oktoberfeast glider
- Axcordion pickaxe
- Clockworks back bling
The developer is definitely going the extra mile for authenticity. The Heidi skin is wearing a dirndl, which is the traditional attire worn by females during Oktoberfest in Austria, South Tyrol, and Bavaria. On the other hand, the Ludwig skin even has a beer stein on his belt.
The description for the Heidi skin reads “Fest with the best,” while the Ludwig skin’s description reads “Best of the wurst.” The annual Oktoberfest 2018 celebrations are currently taking place in Munich, Bavaria, Germany. It began on September 22 and will end on October 7, 2018.
How to Get the New Fortnite Oktoberfest Skins
The Heidi and Ludwig skins are both Epic outfits, which means that they will cost a pretty penny in the Fortnite Items Shop. Players would have to fork out 1500 V-bucks each. If anyone’s aiming for the full set, they will be paying a whopping 3000 V-bucks for the skins alone. Meanwhile, the Axcordion pickaxe and Oktoberfeast glider will set players back 500 and 800 V-bucks, respectively.
However, the Clockworks and Pretzel Protector back blings remain unreleased at the time of writing. Since they are both Epic back blings, players should be prepared to pay a hefty sum of V-bucks as well. Based on trends from previously-released Epic back blings, they could cost as much as 1500 V-bucks each. In the meantime, we will have to wait for official confirmation from the folks at Epic Games.
