But some will, of course, be wondering when is the Castlevania Collection Release Date? Well, it is right around the corner.
When is the Castlevania Collection Release Date?
The Castlevania Collection for PS4 will be releasing October 24, just in time for Halloween. It will bundle together the Japan and PC Engine-exclusive Castlevania Rondo of Blood and the PS1 classic Castlevania Symphony of the Night. The two games have been confirmed as being emulated on the current-gen console with a 4k/1080p upscaling of its graphics.
In addition to this, Castlevania Requiem will offer various rendering options such as smoothing. The official PlayStation blog post announcing the bundle adds that it will have “multiple high-resolution backgrounds…and full Trophy support.” The port of these two games will also take advantage of the Dualshock 4 controllers. Specifically, the controller’s rumble features, analog sticks, and the speaker will be utilized. With the latter of the three, the blog post notes that “you’ll hear a cool little chime when you pick up an item.” You can watch the trailer for the Castlevania collection below.
Castlevania Requiem is available for pre-order right now for $19.99. Castlevania Rondo of Blood was a Japanese exclusive released on the PC Engine platform in 1993. It follows the story of Richter Belmont as he tries to save his lover Anette from his ancestral enemy, Dracula. Castlevania Symphony of the Night is a direct sequel to Rondo of Blood released on the PS1 in 1997. The game tasks players with taking control of Alucard, Dracula’s son, as he explores the re-appeared castle after the disappearance of Richter.
