The October PlayStation Plus games have been potentially leaked via a post on Reddit. Every month PlayStation Plus users get a selection of free games to download. This rumored leak comes a full week before Sony is scheduled to officially announce this month’s lineup of games. Keep in mind that this is currently just a rumor and nothing is confirmed.
Reddit user Aecesaje shared an image of their view of the PlayStation store which suggests that Nioh and Diablo 3: Eternal Collection are going to be available to download for free next month. The user added that the games appeared up with the PlayStation Plus symbol on them, but that they were not able to download the titles. This has occurred in the past, with a rumored leak of the free PlayStation Plus games in January of this year turning out to be true. The company does not usually announce the free games until the last Wednesday of the previous month. This is again simply a rumor, so take this news with a pinch of salt.
Previous months’ PlayStation Plus games have included Destiny 2 and God of War 3 Remastered to subscribers for free in September. In August, the service had brought Mafia 3 and Dead By Daylight to those who pay for the online service.
Our review for Nioh gave it a 4.5 out of 5, praising its combat system and the world of the game while criticising it for its lack of visual fidelity and harsh difficulty. The Game Revolution review for Diablo III also gave the game a 4.5 out of 5, stating the satisfaction the combat brings and its challenging nature as positives, with its online functionalities being the only downside to it. The Eternal Collection of the former of the two games is a console exclusive title that brings all of the previous DLC for the game into one package.
