Wii U Black Ops II Has Nuketown 2025 Pre-Order Bonus Pulled From Retailers

Nintendo has made a big statement by Wii U supporting Call of Duty: Black Ops II on launch day, but the removal of a key pre-order bonus might mar its release.

Despite Nuketown 2025 previously being advertised as a bonus for pre-ordering Black Ops II on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, and Wii U, all evidence of Wii U being included on the deal has vanished. As a matter of fact, if you load a cached version of the Black Ops II site you can see the pre-order bonus listed, but the current site has the information removed (look above for an example). Additionally, all major retailers including Amazon and GameStop have deleted the line that states "Nuketown 2025 content will be available in the product packaging".

So it's safe to say the map isn't coming to Wii U on launch day, but this begs the question: will it ever get Nuketown 2025? It was an incredibly popular map in the original Black Ops and could mean the difference between veterans pre-ordering it on Nintendo's new platform or looking elsewhere. If it's coming but will be delayed, then Activision needs to say so, or Nintendo might lose out on some sales of what is inarguably its most important title for core gamers this year.
