Patch 1.06 has arrived for the PS4 version of Crash Bandicoot N Sane Trilogy and it adds a welcomed feature to the game. Th update isn’t a big one, as it only measures about 560MB. The new update introduces HDR to the game, which will surely complement the 4K visuals it already has on the PS4 Pro. In addition, the brand new level crafted by the folks at Vicarious Visions is now available as well.
According to PushSquare, the new Future Tense level for Crash Bandicoot N Sane Trilogy releases today but isn’t technically part of the patch itself. Players can simply head to the PlayStation Store and download the new level for free. Once it has downloaded, they can find the Future Tense level at Crash Bandicoot Warped‘s hub. It’s great to see new content for what is essentially a remaster of a two-decade-old franchise.
Crash Bandicoot N Sane Trilogy: Releases Today For Xbox One, Nintendo Switch And PC
Even though Crash Bandicoot has always been seen as a Sony PlayStation mascot (especially in the 90s), Crash Bandicoot N Sane Trilogy is not a PS4 exclusive anymore. It actually releases today on the Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The game has already sold millions of copies on the PS4 alone. Becoming a cross-platform game increases the possibility of a new Crash Bandicoot game.
In February 2018, the idea of Crash Bandicoot N Sane Trilogy releasing on the PC and Nintendo Switch was just a rumor, which has since turned out to be true. It was suggested by GB eye licensing manager Max Arguile, who also said that a new Crash Bandicoot game would be coming in 2019. If part of Arguile said came true, there might be some truth to the other rumor as well, despite the lack of official announcements or reveals of any kind. However, 2018 isn’t over yet, and Activision has plenty of time left to announce a new game if there is one.
