If you’re eager to get your hands on Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 before its October release date then there’s only two ways you’re getting to do that. 1) Your uncle works at Treyarch or 2) You’ve got a spot in the Black Ops 4 beta. Read on for how you can do just that, as well at the beta release date and possible end time.
Black Ops 4 Beta: Release Date
While we don’t know the exact date right now, we do know, courtesy of a Comcast competition (via BusinessWire) which unequivocally states that a sweepstakes competition to get into a private beta runs until August, the rough period it’ll go live. Putting two and two together, the Comcast wire has accidentally spilled the beans on a late August release date for the Black Ops 4 beta.
Black Ops 4 Beta: How to Join
The main way players outside the US will be able to join is to grab themselves a pre-order of Black Ops 4. From there, you’ll be granted access to the Black Ops 4 beta at a later date via an email code. There is, however, one (very specific) way you can get a behind-closed-doors session with the game.
Black Ops 4 Beta: Xfinity Beta
If you’re a US resident, you’re able to enter the Black Ops 4 beta sweepstakes via the Xfinity site. Should you win, you’ll be given the chance to play at one of 8 Comcast stores around the nation over the next eight weeks. The cities in question are Washington, Boston, Philadelphia, Houston, Chicago, Seattle, Atlanta and, my boys in the Hoosier State, Indianapolis.
Black Ops 4 Beta: How Long Will the Beta Last?
Again, we have to read a little between the lines for this one or, rather, the smallprint. The Black Ops 4 beta will last for a minimum of three days according to the Comcast press release. Mark off every weekend in August and cross your fingers, folks.
