Warhammer 40K Inquisitor Martyr can’t seem to catch a break. Back in April, developer of the series NeocoreGames seemed as though they were only moments away from pulling out their hair at the delay of the newest game, even going as far to say that the studio would work 90 hours a week as “an apology” to fans. Well even if the developer wasn’t joking about the crunch, it doesn’t seem to have helped any. The game once more faces a delay on consoles.
The game was originally delayed until June 5th for all platforms, however, now the studio has said that they are looking to release the game later in the summer on July 5th. It’s only a month after, but why has the game been delayed again in the first place?
NeocoreGames states in their blog post that the delay is due to “the complexity of the project and the size of our studio. We really wanted to pull off a simultaneous multi-platform release, but for the best possible release quality, this hard decision had to be made. Console versions will now benefit from an extra month of attention.”
This means that the PC version will still be releasing on June 5th, which means that PC fans will still get their cake and eat it at the very least. Console fans aren’t so lucky, but it’s as NeocoreGames said, the extra attention paid to consoles will be more than worth it.
Unfortunately, those who pre-ordered the game will have difficulty now that the game has been delayed, which NeocoreGames is aware of. They mentioned in their blog post that they urge fans to “follow our console publisher Bigben’s announcements regarding this issue (and we’ll let you know as well).”
