Destiny 2 Spire of Stars World First: Who Finished the New Raid First?

Nothing brings together the Destiny 2 community like a good raid. The best badge of honor to come from it, of course, is to be the very first team to finish it. So, who were the greatest Guardians? Here’s who were the Destiny 2 Spire of Stars world’s first completionists, and how they managed to do it.

Destiny 2 Spire of Stars World First: Who Completed It First?

Despite coming out on Friday May 12, it took a fair few hours for raid teams to get close to the section’s final encounter. Totalling in at a whopping 7 hours, it fell to the Redeem clan to finish the job. Bungie even congratulated them on Twitter, as you can see below, which is nice.

Destiny 2 Spire of Stars World First: Can I Watch Their Run?

You can! Not only is there a clip of the clan’s final minute so you can watch the clan in the process of being the Spire of Stars world’s first, but there’s also the full run available on Twitch if you have a spare 394 minutes (and the rest) kicking around.

It really is an impressive sight to behold. In full flight, the Destiny 2 Spire of Stars world first run is packed full of near-misses, outrageous teamplay and more kills than you can shake a Ghost at. According to Bungie, 11,864 kills to be precise.

Destiny 2 Spire of Stars World First: Why Was It So Difficult?

Not only did the length of Spire of Stars require some stamina to even get close to being the world’s first clan to complete it, Redeem also found out the hard way just how difficult it could be. The recommended power level of 370 was just about matched by most of the team, but even that led to 598 deaths.

The issue most players are suffering with is either the final Cabal run or the fact that most players will not be around the recommended light level before attempting the Raid, which makes Redeem’s achievements all the more impressive.
