Finding the Valkyrie locations in God of War is one of the major side quests of the game. Finding all eight Valkyries then the 9th Valkyrie, the Valkyrie Queen, Sigrun, will take up quite a few hours of your time, especially if you don’t know where they’re at or how to beat them. Our God of War Valkyries guide will show you where to find every Valkyrie location and how to beat the Valkyrie queen.
God of War Valkyrie Locations
Before you can hunt down the eight corrupted Valkyrie in God of War, you need to have at least reached Chapter 7: The Magic Chisel. Many of the Valkyries are hidden behind the sealed doors that lock the Hidden Chambers of Odin. Until you get the magic chisel, you won’t be able to break the seal and enter the chambers.
To get to two of the Valkyrie, you’ll also need to unlock the realms of Muspelheim and Niflheim. You’ll need to perform quite a few tasks to reach either of the Valkyrie in those realms so the earlier you start, the better.
To get to Sigrun the Valkyrie Queen in God of War, you’ll have to defeat the first eight Valkyrie. These are the hardest enemies in the game, and some of them make for a grueling fight. Make sure you’re well armed and armored before you try to take any of them on.
God of War Valkyrie Locations: Midgard
You’ll find four Valkyrie in Midgard. Each of them is located in a Hidden Chamber of Odin.

- Gunnr
- Location: Hidden Chamber of Odin – Thamur’s Corpse
- Kara
- Location: Hidden Chamber of Odin – Witch’s Basement
God of War Valkyrie Locations: Alfheim
There is one Valkyrie in Alfheim locked in a Hidden Chamber of Odin.

- Location: Hidden Chamber of Odin – Light Elf Shore
God of War Valkyrie Locations: Helheim
There is one Valkyrie in Helheim. She is also located in a Hidden Chamber of Odin.

- Location: Hidden Chamber of Odin – Helheim
God of War Valkyrie Locations: Muspelheim
There is one Valkyrie in Muspelheim. She is part of the sixth trial, and you must pass through the first five trials before you can reach her.

God of War Valkyrie Locations: Niflheim
There is one Valkyrie in Niflheim as well. She’s the most difficult to get to since she’s in the furthest area away from the entrance of Niflheim. You’ll want to spend some time getting gear that allows you to spend plenty of time in the mist because the timer will be ticking as you fight her.
To get to Hildr, you need to ignore the monsters in the first area. Head past the traps on the left, and look for the path that leads to a dead end. The path randomizes each time, but will follow roughly the same structure.

God of War Valkyrie Queen Location
You won’t be able to find the location of Sigrun until you find and defeat the first eight Valkyries. Once you do, take their helmets to the area called the Council of Valkyries and place them on the thrones. When you’ve placed all eight, Sigrun, Queen of the Valkyries, will appear and you’ll have to fight her.
