It looks like Destiny 2 The Fallen Warmind might be DLC 2 for Bungie’s hit first-person shooter. Screenshots of an alleged GameStop product listing not only provide the title of the potential DLC, but also a description of the could-be expansion’s contents.
The screenshots — found by Reddit user ProudSentient — show the Destiny 2 The Fallen Warmind expansion listed for an expected $19.99 price. The DLC will apparently allow players to continue their journey “with all-new story missions and adventures set in a new destination, Mars.” Two characters are mentioned and likely the focal points of the expansion: “Rasputin has mysteriously vanished and Ana Bray has returned to The Last City, warning of a dark uprising on Mars.”
The main features of the Destiny 2 The Fallen Warmind DLC are also listed:
- Explore Mars and the Deep Stone Crypt beneath its surface
- New story missions and adventures
- New themed weapons, armor, and gear to earn
- New cooperative activities
- New competitive multiplayer arenas
- And more…
Though a release date is missing, if the previous leaks were accurate, players can expect a May 8 launch. Expect numerous teasers and development updates before then, however, as Bungie usually likes to ramp up the hype before a big expansion release.
It’s likely that we’ll learn more during an upcoming “This Week at Bungie” blog post, though it’s unclear how long the developer will wait until the reveal.
With the community still waiting for game-changing improvements to be made, which have been promised in the development roadmap, there’s an awful lot of pressure on Bungie to deliver with the next expansion and the subsequent updates. Here’s hoping it all goes well!
