Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 Black Panther DLC out Now

Black Panther may have only just come to theatres (if you’re lucky enough to live in the UK, that is), but you can jump right into T’Challa’s Wakandan adventures right now with the Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 Black Panther DLC, out today.

The pack, which is also included on the $14.99 season pass, sees Black Panther team up with his younger sister Shuri to take down the nefarious Erik Killmonger. It is priced at $2.99/£2.49 on Steam and PS4 but, bizarrely, £2.99/£2.39 on Xbox One, should you want to take advantage of that 10p discount.

Not only do you get a new level pack to play with, you also get a boost to Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2’s already considerable roster by adding some of the Marvel movie’s big players. You’ll be able to get your hands on the Vibranium Suit version of Black Panther, Royal Guard member Okoye, War Dog Nakia, plus villains Erik Kilmonger, Ulysses Klaue and CIA Agent Everett K. Ross.

Black Panther’s DLC will pave the way for two further packs based on the latest Marvel releases. Avengers: Infinity War will likely be coming alongside the blockbuster movie release this May, with Ant-Man and the Wasp following soon after in July.

The launch trailer, which you can see below, highlights the star-studded cast, and T’Challa’s athletic prowes. There’s even a look at the new Wakanda level, complete with war rhinos. Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2’s main story also passed through Wakanda, but this promises to be a much more engaging take on what was one of the game’s most disappointingly straightforward and dull levels.
