Capcom’s ResidentEvil.Net Gets Detailed As Resident Evil 6 Goes Gold

Capcom sent over word today, detailing the ResidentEvil.Net service and what unique features it'll offer players looking to take their zombie-survival tactics out of Resident Evil 6 and into their web browsers.

The first is, of course, comprehensive stat tracking. Players will be able to see complete breakdowns of enemies killed, weapons used, medals earned, and more. RE.Net will use these stats to compare you against your friends and rivals.

What's more, linking social media accounts to RE.Net will let you share achievements and will also keep you in the loop so any of your high scores stay just above your competitions. The smartphone app on iOS, Android, and Windows devices will also be able to tap into RE.Net functionality at launch.

The real strength of RE.Net is the event participation and the ability to trade in-game achievements for in-game rewards. Defeating set amounts of enemies, scoring high in mercenaries mode and Championship Belt events, or boasting about your scores will ultimately net you costumes, figures, and other unlockables.

What's more, Resident Evil.Net is completely free, which is great news for anyone anticipating Resident Evil 6. Luckily, the October 2nd release date for Leon and friends has been locked in place as the title goes to print for Xbox 360 and PS3.
