Diablo III Gets Free Weekend for Xbox Live Gold Members

Diablo III has gone through an astronomical amount of changes since its release on May 15, 2012 release date, from a console release to an expansion to a next-gen port that bundled it all together in one. If your head was spinning too much to get into it back then, you’ll be pleased to know that you now have another opportunity to get in on the fun … if you have an Xbox Live Gold Membership, anyhow.

Diablo III: Reaper of Souls – Ultimate Evil Edition will have a free weekend, Blizzard announced today, starting 9:00 a.m. Pacific Time on Thursday, July 27 for all Xbox Live Gold Members, and running until Monday, July 31 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time. The Ultimate Evil Edition includes the base game and the Reaper of Souls expansion.

As an added bonus, the Diablo III: Eternal Collection, which includes the base game, the Reaper of Souls expansion and the recently release Necromancer pack, will be discounted at 35% off. Doing so will let you continue your progress, so there’s no need to worry about lost saves or characters or anything like that.

This discount puts the final price for the Eternal Collection at $38.99, rather than the full $59.99.
