Nomura Teases Kingdom Hearts Fans, “About Time” A New Installment Comes To Consoles

If there's one thing that Kingdom Hearts director Tetsuya Nomura is good at, it's leading gamers on. Not only does he have us waiting for the chronically delayed Final Fantasy XIII spinoff, he's also got fans hanging on his every word, hoping for a Kingdom Hearts 3 reveal.

After confirmation rolled out yesterday confirming that no, Versus XIII will not be at E3 this year, Nomura has shared with GameInformer that a Kingdom Hearts title for consoles is long overdue. “I also feel that it’s about time that Kingdom Hearts should go back to being on a console,” he said. Yeah, no kidding!

Naturally, beyond that bit of a tease, Nomura had little else to say about the alleged game, only adding that he's "not able to disclose any information on what’s coming next or any other future plans, but you may be able to find a hint if you play through Dream Drop Distance to the very end.” Yeah, I'll get right on that.

While it's pretty obvious he is alluding to an upcoming announcement for Kingdom Hearts 3, I'll believe it when I see it. After waiting year after year for even a glimpse of FF Versus XIII only to be disappointed with news of yet another delay, my patience it wearing thin. I'm sure yours is too.
