Activision Takes Spider-Man to the Edge of Time

Last year's Spiderman: Shattered Dimensions let you take on the role of a total of 4 different iterations of our favorite web-slinging hero. The game was developed by the Activision-owned Beenox, whom Activision put in charge of the future of all Spider-Man games. The second Spider-Man game that they'll be creating was announced today, entitled Spider-Man: Edge of Time.

Spider-Man: Edge of Time will put players back into the role of both the Amazing Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2099, in order to save Peter Parker from an untimely death. The game will feature all-new cause and effect gameplay, that makes any and all immediate actions have a dramatic effect on the other Spider-Man.

Edge of Time will be written by Marvel vet, Peter David, who is responsible for co-creating the Spider-Man 2099 comic series.

Spider-Man: Edge of Time will be released later this fall on a number of platforms. Look out for more information coming out of WonderCon this weekend.
